The CanTeen Article Submission Guidelines
Violation of these guidelines will result in your submission not being published.
What SHOULD be included in your article:

An original title that encapsulates what you wrote about in your submission

Something that you have experienced
-
Storytelling format
-
Hook
Example Hook: I anxiously tug the door open and am filled with a sense of dread at the sight of so many other kids. It’s my first day of high school.

1st or 3rd person
(Either written from your own perspective, or witnessing someone experience something.)

250 word minimum
What SHOULD NOT be included:
-
Hateful pieces with names based on people in real life (especially without permission)
-
Inappropriate topic matter (self-harm, violence, sex, drug use; etc)
-
Unnecessarily graphic/explicit content unless relevant or handled responsibly

Plagiarized content (including use of AI to write any part of an article)

Offensive/harmful language

Unnecessarily graphic/explicit content unless relevant or handled responsibly

Plagiarized content (including use of AI to create any part of your submission)

Offensive/harmful language

Appropriate lighting
